Transfer of Credit
Admissions | Process | Transfer Credit

Kaplan Career Institute appreciates your past experience and will consider any education, training, or work experience you may already have to determine whether it can be applied toward your program requirements. Although Kaplan Career Institute cannot guarantee the transferability of credit from any of these sources, we will consider:

  • Credit earned through the College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP)
  • Military training and experience (experiential learning)
  • Transfer credit from accredited postsecondary institutions
  • Various certification exams

Upon evaluation of your transcript, credit may be awarded for courses successfully completed with a grade of  "C" or better at another accredited postsecondary institution, where course and credit values are comparable to those offered by Kaplan Career Institute. The course descriptions, objectives, and outcomes will be evaluated, and core/major courses must apply to the program for which the credit will be applied. Transcripts from foreign institutions must meet the same requirements as domestic institutions and must be translated.

Students transferring from any Kaplan Higher Education institution must complete a minimum of 25 percent of the course credit at the Kaplan Higher Education institution awarding the graduation credential.
