Campus Visits

Kaplan Career Institute–ICM Campus offers tours of our Pittsburgh campus during the week and on Saturdays. Group tours must be scheduled in advance through the admissions office. Contact an Admissions Representative toll free at 888.295.4532.

Admissions Requirements

Listed below are some of the specific requirements that Kaplan Career Institute–ICM Campus has established for admission. Our dedicated team of Admissions Representatives can answer any questions you have about our admissions requirements or procedures.

An applicant to Kaplan Career Institute–ICM Campus must meet at least one of the following standards:

  • Be a high school graduate
  • Possess a GED certificate
  • Possess a Home Study certificate or transcript from a Home Study program that is equivalent to high school level and is recognized by the student's home state
  • Be beyond the age of compulsory school attendance and demonstrate the Ability to Benefit (ATB) from the training by passing an independently administered test (ATB applies to diploma programs only and is not acceptable to qualify for associate's degree programs)

Evidence of high school graduation or equivalent must be presented to Kaplan Career Institute–ICM Campus (unless student is demonstrating ATB). Acceptable evidence may be a:

  • College transcript indicating the date of high school graduation
  • DD214 military record indicating the applicant is a high school graduate or equivalent
  • GED certificate or official notification that a GED has been earned
  • High school diploma (certified copy of original)
  • High school transcript indicating the date of high school graduation
  • High school proficiency exam

If applicants who currently reside in the United States but attend school in foreign countries are unable to produce the required documents, evidence may include certification from other official sources.
