Simulated Settings

Kaplan Career Institute–ICM Campus makes every effort to recreate career settings so you can "learn by doing" in atmospheres that simulate the workplace. In our specialized laboratories, you can practice the skills you need to be successful on the job. Depending on the program you choose, you may train in one or more of the following:

• A+ Computer Forensics Laboratory–allows you to take apart PCs to study, build, test, troubleshoot, and repair internal components and peripheral devices
• Accounting Laboratory–practice using the accounting software programs most often used in business
• Computer Laboratories–conveniently located throughout the building, so you have easy access to the our campus intranet, the Internet, and the hardware and software required for your career training
• Fashion Center–practice fashion merchandising skills in our multipurpose room equipped with a three-sided display case, mannequins, display racks, and other industry-related equipment and supplies
• Firearm Training Systems (FATS®)–virtual training systems let you experience criminal justice training scenarios that would be difficult or impossible to replicate in the real world
• Keyboarding Laboratories–equipped with the technology for you to master keyboarding speed and accuracy through independent practice
• Learning Resource Center–our library and Student Tutoring Assisting and Resource (STAR) Center offer the resources you need to succeed in school
• Medical Procedures Laboratories–equipped for you to practice medical procedures and techniques in a simulated health care setting
• Occupational Therapy Laboratory–practice occupational therapy techniques in a lab that replicates a client's living environment, complete with a kitchen, tub and shower, laundry facilities, and a mat table
• Patient Care Laboratory–our simulated hospital room is fully equipped to allow you to practice the clinical procedures used in jobs in the health care field
